A Prayer/Offering

Mony Dojeiji

I know that this is a moment of great tension, anxiety and fear for many, caused not only by the pandemic but the upcoming American elections. Much is being said and prognosticated, all of it adding to the general sense of insecurity and unknowing.

I strive to be close to Spirit in every moment, but I am leaning especially heavily on It right now. I am actively turning away from the outer world, and turning towards the Light, Source of all that is Truth, known by many names, among them God, Allah, Creator, Universal Consciousness, Life, Christ Self...

To Its altar I come, bringing with me all my heaviness, and speak as I would with my closest friend, wisest counsel and most intimate confidant. I speak from the heart, knowing there is only infinite love, patience and understanding for me. These words I spoke today:

“Dear God, take this heavy burden that I am carrying in my heart, in my mind, in my soul. It’s too heavy. And I’m so tired.

I don’t want to carry this anger and hatred any more.

They are not who or what I am. They are not who or what You created me to be.

You created me – along with every man, woman and child – whole, perfect, loving, free. It is to this state I now wish to return.

I’m ready to lay it all down so that I can be at peace. So that I can feel light again; feel love, compassion and understanding for all again.

I give you all that is triggered in me by “those people” right now. I give you all the venom that I am pouring out, for I know I am only poisoning myself.

I choose to be at peace; and, alone, I’m finding it hard to do.

Thank You for being with me. I know that only with You is true healing possible. Only with You is peace of mind possible. Only with You can my heart be mended.

I choose to be a brother/sister to all. I choose to be a point of peace in a land of turmoil. I choose to heal. I choose to embody Love;

And with You, I know that I can.

It feels so good to rest.

Thank You for taking all this heaviness from me. Thank You for this calm that is now washing over me. I’ve so missed this feeling, this closeness, this safety. I’ve so missed You.

It feels so good to simply be.

Thank You.

My heart feels lighter. My eyes can see.

I love You.”

The words are not what matter; what matters is the feeling of being close to my Creator, of knowing that I am ever held, ever safe, no matter what is happening in the outer world because this Oneness with my Creator/God-Love is the only truth of existence.

When I come back to the world, I’m in a different state of being, and can look upon it with new eyes, understand from a more expanded perspective. I have laid the foundation and marked the path for any action that is mine to take, for I can only hear what is mine to do when I make my way back to that Oneness.

May these words serve this moment.

May all be blessed.  🙏❤️

A Meditation for the Mind

As talk of mental health swirls around these days, I offer a meditation that I hope serves you in your journeys towards wholeness of mind, body, heart and spirit.

I shared it last year, but have slightly modified it. If there’s interest, I’ll record it and share it, but I encourage you to record it for yourself...for your personal use, of course. 😊

With love, 🙏💞
Mony

* * *
"You come seeking clarity of mind, when in reality what is troubled is the heart.

Your beautiful mind will always seek to make sense of deep truths. And well it should. But know this:

Truth is captured in the heart first. Understood in the heart first.

Your mind then begins to interpret and give meaning to this Truth.

My invitation to you now is to drop your attention to your heart.

As you so do, imagine your mind coming along for the ride.

Imagine your thoughts, your ideas, your concepts – all that you believe about who you are – dropping into your heart. Let them rest there.

Now look to your body. Where do you feel sadness? Where do you feel anxiety, fear, worry, loneliness? Place your attention there. Imagine them all moving to your heart.

Why? Because the Highest Intelligence resides in your heart; the answers to all your questions, the peace you long for, the shelter from your emotional and mental storms… all are to be found in your heart.

Let your heart be the refuge for all your pain and suffering.

Breathe. Deeply. Fully.

On the breath, we infuse life to sustain you, love to nourish you, light to heal you.

Let your exhale be the confirmation that you have received life, love, light.

Keep breathing into your heart. Keep imagining your thoughts and your sorrows flowing like a river into a pool of infinite, ever-expanding light within you.

In this pool of light that continues to expand with every breath, all is held. All is forgiven. All is made right. All is transformed into wisdom and understanding, which you will now take as nourishment for your life journey ahead.

With every breath, the light in your heart expands, taking in even more thoughts and feelings. It’s a super-highway conducting (attracting, calling) the pain and less-than thinking unto itself, transforming it into wisdom, transforming it into more light. You can’t help but grow in light with every breath that you take.

Do this for yourself. Breathe your thoughts and feelings into your heart. Over and again.

Do this for another. Breathe the light for those who at this moment can’t do it for themselves. Imagine it growing inside their hearts in the same manner it has grown in yours. Imagine the super-highway of light conducting all the sorrows and less-than thoughts into this magnificent pool of light.

And while your mind still clamours for clarity, we say to you that the journey from mind-fulness to heart-fulness is the greatest journey you will ever undertake.

Your mind, we repeat, can only interpret what the heart knows as truth.

As you expand your heart, you attune to Higher Truth and capture it in your heart.

As your heart expands and settles into this delicious feeling of Being, Love naturally expands to your mind.

Your mind softens. All un-truth dissolve in the presence of Love.
In this softened, pliable state, your mind is now able to interpret the heart’s knowing.

In this exalted state, your mind remains:

A servant of the heart. a beloved collaborator in your soul’s journey into ever-greater states of expansion, leading you to the only Home and only Truth:

God Love.

May these words bring you peace. We hold you in the warmest of embraces.”

UN-planning my Life

"Voyager", an Art of the Spirit original by Alberto Agraso
The greatest events of my life have unfolded with no planning on my part.

They’ve required my active participation, that’s for sure; but they’ve never been the consequence of any plans, goals, strategies, visualizations or even intentions.

There, I’ve said it! I’m an MBA who doesn’t strategize and plan. :-D

The most meaningful events in my life have happened because of the most difficult decision I’ve ever made:

Surrendering control. To Spirit.

This wasn’t an overnight process, and I was not a willing participant… at first.

I always had goals, personal and professional. It was how I lived my life. I moulded it to fit whatever ideas I had at the time of success and happiness.

All that changed with pilgrimage. The more I walked, the more I felt as if the entire Universe was screaming at me,

“Let go. Let me break down the hard lines in your thinking. Let me soften the black and white of your thoughts into greys that you can confidently traverse. Let me show you another way.”

My response was, “NO THANK YOU. I like my mind just the way it is!” LOL

But the experiences of that journey made me question every idea, every concept, even the very definition of what thought and mind are. Of who and what I am.

We all know that with enough focus and attention, the mind can achieve whatever goals it sets for itself. It’s a remarkable tool for that. But there’s a bigger question:

At whose service is this mind?

At the service of the whims of a self that always looks outwards for its satisfaction and sense of worth? Or,

At the service of the Highest Mind, the Mind of God?

This has been my journey these years after pilgrimage. To honour Spirit. Have it inspire thoughts that I alone cannot conceive. Open a heart often too fearful to walk in the unknown. Trust the inner light it’s growing in me to safely show me the way.

My mind still resists this process and insists on the futility of this venture: how will you live without plans, without goals? Where will your security come from? What about your child? At least think of her future! LOL

I’ve been bringing my mind to my heart. Giving it a seat at the table. And making it comfortable there.

A mind inspired by Love, at the service of Spirit, is invulnerable and a conduit for ideas that truly uplift the world.

How could they not?

This is a state of BEING that I cultivate. The breathing, the yoga, the walking, the meditation… they are the tools that keep me present. Aware. At peace. One.

Even as I write this, connections are happening that I never could have imagined. Ideas are bursting forth. New projects are coming my way.

Not by planning. But by UN-planning. And making room for Spirit to lead.

Step by step, my friends. Always further. Always higher.

Ultreia e suseia!

Power

As we approach the birthday of one of the great modern prophets of peace, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., I am especially drawn to this phrase:

"Let no man pull you low enough to hate him."

Because in the moment they do, YOU have lost your power:

Your power to choose what to think.

Your power to choose what to believe.

Your power to choose how to act.

Your power to stand in the grace of who you are.

Your power to choose love, especially for those who demonstrate the lack of it.

Your power to choose understanding, even while others act from ignorance.

Your power to choose unity, even while the words of others create separation.

Your power to choose to listen with your heart, to hear the unspoken words and glimpse the wounds desperate to heal.

No one can control how you feel, what you think, and how you respond. That is the ultimate power you, and we, all possess.

My choice is clear. Despite all the outer noise and distractions, now more than ever, I stand for love.

And I especially weigh it down like an anchor in the hearts of those – my brothers and sisters on this journey – who cannot yet do it for themselves, and who have temporarily forgotten who they are.

May peace prevail in the hearts of all. 🙏💞

(r)Evolutions

Mony Dojeiji - on the path
Watching the news these days is not for the faint of heart. The speed and complexity of events are dizzying. We seem to be riding a wave of emotions that never quite reaches shore, in a world that seems to be fraying at the seams.

It’s impossible to tune out completely, unless you isolate yourself from the world. Although important to do, I also believe we’re here to engage with the world in a meaningful way rather than try to escape it.

The question always becomes: what can I possibly do?

When I walked to Jerusalem, I was DOING something, responding to a situation (9/11) that left me feeling vulnerable and afraid. My pilgrimage for peace would be my contribution to the forces and energies of peace.

But I certainly wasn’t a person at peace.

I was full of judgments. I had so many expectations. So many rigid ideas of right and wrong, my way or no way. (Just ask Alberto! LOL) So many fears. So much anger at what I perceived as injustices in the world and those perpetrating it.

My big dream when I arrived in Jerusalem was to spark a massive march for peace, bring together people from all faiths and religions, Israelis and Palestinians, and whoever else wanted to join us in a march demanding peace in the Holy Land. I even wanted to live there, working for the UN or some NGO dedicated to peace.

It certainly didn’t work out that way.

Although my intentions were pure – creating peace – my heart was fractured. Conflicted. Bitter. In pain.

How could such a heart inspire peace in another?

What kind of peace would this heart be creating?

I was so focused on outer action, though, that I didn’t see this right away. The journey and its myriad experiences revealed these – and many more – truths to me, along with what was perhaps the most difficult to accept:

There is nothing out there.

It is ALL inside of you, revealing itself to you so that you may acknowledge it, accept it and liberate it.

The priest that I judged and criticized for turning us away was the loving opportunity to heal the fears, expectations and judgments within me.

The woman who brought me to tears because I couldn’t live up to her expectations of how a good pilgrim should behave was the loving opportunity to heal the wounded child within me.

The few people who mocked or dismissed my pilgrimage were the loving opportunity to stand confidently in my truth and to speak it with open heart, even as it was still forming within me.

The days and nights of anxiety and uncertainty when we didn’t know if we would have a roof over our heads were the loving opportunity to have faith in what we couldn’t see, and to know that a Great Love is always at work.

This was the true journey. The transformation that was taking place. So that Peace and Love would find a home within me. And inspire my action in the world.

THAT is the inner (r)evolution.

And the source of all outer (r)evolutions.

Gandhi. Martin Luther King. Marianne Williamson. They all understood this when they called for a revolution of Love.

And every revolution needs its revolutionaries:

Revolutionaries of Love,

Dissolving the bitterness and barriers within, so that they may be dissolved without.

When our inner walls crumble, the outer walls cannot help but follow suit.

A Conscious Politics

One of the most profound and authentic conversations that I see taking place these days is from this woman: Marianne Williamson.

Marianne Williamson (Image from NY Times Magazine article)
It’s not even about her run for the American presidency, but the deep truths that she’s speaking.

It’s about the consciousness she represents, where LOVE – for each other, for the planet, for our highest ideals – is at the core of all that we as individuals (and collectively as societies and governments) do.

She puts forth the “radical” notion that individuals are here to thrive;

That we have the right to fully realize our potential;

That we are here to be unburdened emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually – liberated from these slaveries, so that our creative brilliance may shine through and raise the world in which we live.

As we have all witnessed – in the US and beyond – fear has been harnessed to divide us. Love, humanity, compassion are all too often derided and dismissed as naïve and sentimental, lacking the power to create any lasting change.

But I say it is ONLY LOVE that will transform us. It is ONLY LOVE that will unite us. It is ONLY LOVE that will guide us.

And that journey must begin in the heart of each and every one of us.

It takes courage to embark on this journey. We must be willing to look deeply into the shadows of our own souls – our fears, our prejudices, our helplessness – and shine a light upon them. The lamp we carry is LOVE.

ONLY LOVE can transform our deep pains and traumas into peace.

ONLY LOVE can transform our thoughts and beliefs into inspiration.

For LOVE is the greatest Liberator.

Until we can know that God is Love, and that Love is our true nature, then we will ridicule what we don’t know and crucify those who challenge us in our beliefs.

What gives me incredible hope is a certainty that people are waking up to this deep truth and that the wave that has now begun cannot be stopped.

Her website is a fountain of knowledge, and ideas that make me think even deeper. I encourage you to check it out. marianne2020.com.

This is a recent article about her from the NY Times Magazine https://www.nytimes.com/2019/09/03/magazine/marianne-williamson-2020.html.

May we all walk forward together in consciousness and unity.

Making Peace - the way of Ho'oponopono

For those of us on the path of unfolding Spirit, it may at times feel as if the world of Spirit and the world we witness are indeed worlds apart. The divide appears to be expanding, with few means of bridging or reconciling that separation.

How can we live in the world, and love it?

In this talk at Unity Spiritual Centre Ottawa, I share some thoughts on how to do just that.

It all begins within.

"State of Union" - a channeling

I recently watched a documentary about Israel-Palestine that got me thinking about the inner state of that Promised Land.

Is that land still divided within? What will create peace and harmony within?

The state of union moves ever closer and, as it does, unleashes the fury of the resistance, long-entrenched, believing it is its right to be there at all costs.

Resistance comes from deep fear, for in the moment these elements (meaning, the fears) stop resisting, there is the possibility that they might stop existing. That (resistance) is what currently defines their (meaning the fears, the anger) existence.

In your own heart must there be a place for the resistors, for their existence is at stake.

The Love in the heart, the strength of the Light, must be strong enough to assuage the resistors.

They held sway over the entire heart at one time and are reluctant to let that territory go.

They are uncomfortable in the Light because they don’t know what it’s going to do to them.

Rather than obliterate them into non-existence, resistors must be made to see their role in the Light, and AS the Light.

Filled with that Light, an energy of entitlement shifts to one of co-existence.

The energy hasn’t disappeared. It has merely been allowed to see the other end of its energetic spectrum, to see the positive of itself, of that quality that it carries.

Fear of disappearance, fear of no longer existing, fear of a dream dying…those are the energies that also need to be transmuted to the other end of their spectrum.

Fear of a dream dying may become the beauty and excitement of a new dream envisioned today, not driven by ideas of the past but by possibilities of the future.

Look within for a moment and stop thinking about the Israelis and Palestinians. What is occurring at the moment on a macro scale has some root and meaning in a micro scale with you.

Ask yourself: what are you defending without second thought? What benefit is there to remaining divided?

...Control is certainly easier. With it, there is perhaps guaranteed outcomes. There’s no need to grow or expand. You’re entrenched in what you know, thinking it’s enough. Rigidity sets in. Inflexibility. You justify the occupation of the heart in so many ways.

But then love arises.

What swings to one extreme naturally swings to another until harmony is found.

Love and harmony must fill the land.

They must be strong enough to withstand the acid attacks of the deepest fears manifesting as righteousness.

That work only you can do.

Strengthening the land, inundating the terrain with Light and entrenching it there, IS YOUR work.

And then, on its own, fear will come into its harmony.

It cannot withstand the magnetic pull of the energy of Love radiating itself in the heart.

Fear will find its Light despite itself. It will see its Divinity.

And you will know peace.

~Mony

Courage is taking one step...

Courage: We often think of it in grand terms, as giant feats of heroism; but I’ve come to appreciate that true courage involves listening to our intuition and taking one purposeful step in the direction of our highest truth.

I have many experiences to draw from, but I will share with you the story of what happened when I left Microsoft, not knowing my next steps and not having a clear direction for my life.

The decision didn’t happen overnight. It took several years, as I flitted from job to job within the company, waiting for each new job to fill the tremendous void of dissatisfaction and fatigue I was feeling. The initial enthusiasm and challenge would inevitably wane, and I would once again begin to feel restless; but I wasn't ready to give up my career, my identity or my livelihood.

At the same time, a powerful shift was happening within me.

My intuition was awakening. Until then, if I couldn't see or touch a thing, it didn't exist. Logic won over instinct every time. But I was seeing how those little hunches, those tiny feelings that carried absolute knowing, were bringing me to places of healing and comprehension. I began listening to them.

I felt connected to a greatness that extended beyond my concepts of love; and I felt it close to me, encouraging me to act on all the coincidences that were presenting themselves. Even though my logic protested at the absurdity of following a coincidence, I did it anyways, and found myself in situations that brought clarity and insight.

I also felt as if all of Creation was awaiting my moment of decision, so that they too could move with me.

Let me tell you what happened when I finally made my decision to quit.

I had left Canada, and was now working at the Microsoft’s head office in Washington. I finally worked up the resolve, and walked into my manager's office to tell her the news. She knew I was unhappy and so, before I could speak, began to describe a new job opportunity that would have me be the liaison between Corporate office in the U.S. with the offices in Europe, Middle East and Africa. It would be a relationship-building job where I would travel the region, sharing best practices with them and taking back to Corporate the practices that were working well locally that we could incorporate into international programs.

Could there be a better job?! To travel, meet people, share stories, and get paid for it?!

I was paralyzed by indecision, shutting down what I knew to be my truth and beginning to convince myself that THIS new job would bring me the inner peace and fulfillment I was seeking...until a friend and mentor at Microsoft sat me down and said:

“You need great courage to take one small step in the direction of your heart and its yearning, even when you don't know where that step will lead you exactly. Do you have that courage?”

I decided that I did. When I finally quit, the floodgates that had been holding the precious clarity I sought opened up. They led me to a retreat in the mountains a few hours from my home where I would serendipitously meet my eagle, and begin my pilgrimages and travels.

One small step. One committed act towards self-love and inner peace. One act of faith in myself and all the forces of Love that I knew were rooting for me!

And knowing that behind that leap, Love has my back!

That's all it took.

May your courage reveal the next step in your journey.

How my Deepest Fear was Guarding my Greatest Treasure

Oh, what memories this photo brings.

It was Comdex, 1994 I think, and Bill Gates was in Toronto to deliver the keynote address. Five speakers were asked to present with him, and I was one of them…the only woman.

I had been at Microsoft Canada for a year, having made a leap of faith from a well-paying consulting career at Arthur Andersen to this barely-known company, back then. I had even taken a pay cut, wanting to join them because I was a fan of their Office product on the Mac, and jumped at the opportunity to be part of a company whose product I loved.

They offered me one of two jobs: channel sales or seminar presenter. I didn’t even know what channel sales meant, but when I heard that I could share my enthusiasm for, and knowledge of MS Office, I inwardly leapt for joy…and panicked. Taking the job would mean having to face my deepest fear: public speaking.

I had managed to avoid it during my MBA years, letting others speak while I did any other work required. It hid a deeper fear about expression in general, and not wanting to say anything that would be mocked or rejected, fearing both in equal measure.

When I accepted the role of seminar presenter, I finally made the choice to speak.

My first few seminars were rough, by my standards, but I got through them, memorizing every presentation, some of them three hours long.

In that year of speaking, I discovered that my deepest fear was guarding my greatest treasure, one that culminated in that moment on stage with Bill Gates.

It’s a reminder to me, today, to continue looking at those fears, big and small, and with great love and determination, walk through them to the other side.

Blessings <3

Dallas, Baghdad, Orlando...

Dallas, Baghdad, Orlando…

I have seen all the news, and have kept quiet vigil, trying to decide how to respond.

The work of peace is often solitary and not lauded, but there are moments when its voice must be heard.

I hope I can do it justice.

Condemnation, fury, resentment, revenge, fear… they rule in abundance. And they are powerful tools of division.

And if those must rule in you, I encourage you to let them. Feel the emotions. Let them have their outlet.

But ONLY in your mind.

And ONLY for a while. Give them a time limit. Half an hour. Half a day. Whatever.

And once the time limit is up, put a big bracket around them.

Take a deep breath.

Let it out.

And do it over and again, until you can find some measure of calm and stillness, in mind and in body.

Now, imagine a light so brilliant, so pure, so powerful, so loving, so wise…right in the very centre of your being beginning to grow and expand until it fills every atom of your being. Your physical body is filled with it. Your every thought. Your every emotion. Your very core vibrates with this light. It is the only force in action in your body right now. It sweeps over and dominates all other thought, feeling, emotion (especially the ones you put in those big brackets!)

…And with it, you know that everything is all right. You are safe. You are protected. You are infinitely loved. You are at peace.

If you can’t do this for yourself, then it’ll be tougher to do it for another.

Now comes the hard part…

That person that you want to condemn for carrying out those terrible acts?

He’s your brother.

Do you believe that the God-of-your-choosing looks at YOUR not-so-favourable actions and says, “That’s it, I’m done with you! I’m so fed up with you inability to get this whole love thing, that I’m going to seek my revenge and do away with you?”

It that is your God, then please stop reading here. My next words will probably only frustrate you. Also feel free to unfriend me or block me. I won’t be offended... :-)

But if you want to lift the world, you must begin by lifting yourself.

You must master your self.

That means: observing all events, but not judging them. Allowing the anger and fear to express, but not dominate. Looking at the person you want to blame, and doing the following:

That same light that dominates in you, you now witness rising in them.

They have it too. It is in every single one of God’s creations.

You may only see it as a flicker in the darkness, but that’s OK. It’s still there.

You are now going to breathe life into that ember, blowing softly, insistently, gently… you watch it grow into that same powerful light that you feel in yourself. That light continues to expand until it fully dominates THEIR very being, THEIR every thought, THEIR every emotion.

That light fills them so completely that it directs their thoughts. It directs their actions. They can’t help but act in consequence.

Just as you can’t help acting in consequence either.

Because from this state of consciousness, any action that you take is powered by infinity.

If you can’t imagine this “despicable” person capable of change, then perhaps your work in releasing your judgments isn’t finished…. I’m not judging, just saying! :-D lol

If we can't see them capable of change, “they”, or others like them, will remain in our collective reality.

I don’t know the answers to every conflict in this world. I can’t control what is happening outside of me.

But you can bet I can control what is happening inside of me, how I choose to see the world, how I choose to use my energies.

And I am choosing love over fear.

Blessings,
Mony <3

A Mony Moment..."Consciousness of Reassurance"

From the depths of the well of love, a stream of consciousness flows. A stream lit by the light of the heart.

This consciousness stream has no beginning or end. It is a flow that began at the beginning of time, and that will continue beyond all time and space.
It is what creates the ripples for change to occur. It is the beginning and the end.

Consciousness must be in motion, be it expansion or contraction, but it is an energy that is fluid, continually seeking expression from its heights into all the levels and planes of existence.

Each plane is given what it can handle and what it needs in its moment of evolution.
At this time, this earth plane is in need of the energy or consciousness of reassurance.

That can only come when there is the knowledge that only love exists, that there is no death despite the physical body’s deterioration, that all serves the individual soul, brotherhood and universal growth... That all is interconnected and woven as a beautiful net of knowledge that feeds the All.
Reconciliation is what is required, but first within the heart of each man and woman.

Within the heart, we repeat, is where true reconciliation must take place before its effects can be witnessed in the outer realities.

If we can but encourage one thing at this moment, it is reconciliation of fears that have taunted you, doubts that have haunted you, any and all thoughts that have kept you small and far from your own magnificence…these are the attributes that need to make their home in your heart, in a heart that is not only their safe haven, but that is also the fertile ground for more love to grow.
And so, make peace with the enemy within.

Make peace with the tyrant and bully within.

Find a place in your heart to embrace the shadow part of yourself that runs wild and that desperately craves your attention and love.

All of these now are critical as humanity makes tremendous leaps forward in its personal and universal growth.

One cannot grow without the other in this web of inter-connectedness.

Have heart.

Have the courage to embrace all that you perceive as dark within you, all that is considered the shadow aspect of you.

There is nowhere to go, but inwards.

Keep your eyes inner focused, for the greatest treasure is awaiting revelation, awaiting the fruits of your grand and courageous labour to bring the shadows home.

Receive our blessings, and our love.

~Mony

A Mony Moment..."Don't ever stop reaching"

At the highest vibration, words fail. That is because of course there are no words, there is only presence, vibration, sound, OM…..

As the vibration descends into the physical realms, it shifts and moulds itself to the receiver of this vibration. This vibration lodges itself in the heart, and uses the mind to give itself expression.

What Love conceives is grace, a blessing to each, flowing all over you.

Picture for a moment a child reaching for a ball that is just out of reach. No matter how she tries, she cannot grasp that toy. Imagine the frustration of being so close to attaining what you desire, but find it so frustratingly out of reach. It is right there, simply untouchable.

And so it is with those oftentimes who struggle to touch the Divine, to grasp what is often ungraspable and so, failing in the attempt, give up on the toy, frustrated by the effort, and search for something easier to grasp.

But we say to you that as you grow, as you reach, as you flex, as you try… that effort alone brings the ball closer to you. Your efforts shift your vibration and bring Divinity, the state of grace, to you. You draw it to you by your reaching, by your effort.

And so, do not ever stop reaching, trying to grasp what seems impossible to reach. That effort will bring its reward.

A Mony Moment... "Love Resident"

...And what is this wisdom that is behind all the great teachings of today?

It has inspired poets, scientists, your medical people, your philosophers.

It is expressed in words, formulas, compositions, all of which demonstrate its face.

In the ancient teachings, it was understood that Love was at the heart of all creation, all existence.

Until man could be made to see that he was loved exactly as he was, and that Love was moving the Universe in which he lived, there was no progress.

That simple teaching, the foundation of which changes everything, was the ultimate teaching.

Jesus demonstrated it, and lived it.

Great wisdom is often so simple.

The mind seeks explanations ad-infinitum, but true wisdom touches the wings of the heart, of the soul. The mind then tries to reason the feeling, that instant of pure knowing that happens when the infinite touches the finite, if only for an instant.

The grandest truth, the most ancient of knowing and of wisdom, is that you are Loved.

You are created by Love, and Love inhabits every corner of this vast Universe.

It is what rules your life, if you allow it, if you bend to it.

It is what delights and heals you.

If you could but reside in that state, in that vibration, in every instance, with every breath, you would find your life forever shifted.

With love resident, you write the greatest story – the story of your life.

And last week, we received this amazingly beautiful result!
We are confirming details on availability, purchase, pricing, etc. but for now, we are jumping for joy at this latest news.

Christmas Eve in Bethlehem

This evening is special for so many reasons.

On this day many years ago, Alberto and I arrived in Jerusalem, ending our 5000-km, 13-month pilgrimage for peace from Rome.

We hadn't planned it that way, but there we were the afternoon of Dec. 24, at the doors of the Old City, at Bab-al-Khalil. We would learn that Bethlehem was open that day to pilgrims wishing to celebrate. And it was indeed where we celebrated Christmas Eve.

I have photos and souvenirs from our time there, but this particular nativity holds a place in my heart. It is simple, carved by a local Arab artisan from the woods growing there. It's missing a shepherd or two :-)

But when I look at it, all that emerges is love. A magic transports me to a time and place where I feel the hush and witness the wonder and light that were born that night.

I share with you that wonder and that light, sending its blessings to you and your loved ones on this, and every, holy night.

Reflections on 9/11

This day, 9/11, remains in my memory as the catalyst for the greatest journey of my life.

While on the Camino in July of that year, I received the inspiration to walk the Way of the Soul to Jerusalem. I was decided, confident that this was my path, seeing only possibilities and paying no heed to the nagging fears that insisted on surfacing…until I got off the Camino.

Conversations with family and friends only focused on the craziness of the idea, of a woman walking alone along the side of the road through countries unknown to a region that people were trying to escape from. My fears began to win over my heart. I began to put aside my calling, and to listen to reason, to fear.

9/11 shook me out of that stupor, and placed me on the path of action, of following my heart even when I didn’t have all the details worked out, of trusting in the invisible forces that had guided me on the Camino, and that were guiding me still.

I reflect on this day often, how easy it would have been to fall deeper into fear and shut myself off from the world. I saw that same struggle on the faces of so many people. Despite the horrors of the day, I also saw so much grace and dignity, so much love and compassion, so many people refusing to bow to fear and to carry on, choosing to light the way rather than close off in darkness.

If there can be a gift from this day, it was to witness that choice and to feel its power reverberating into the heart of all creation.
