To our Jewish friends celebrating this Festival of Lights beginning this evening - and the great miracle of the oil - Happy Hanukkah.
I love how traditions cross over, and show our unity. This Festival celebrates the triumph of light over darkness, and spirituality over materiality. This is similar to the Hindu festival of Diwali. It is celebrated on the 25th day of the Jewish lunar calendar, in the same way Christians celebrate the birth of the Christ on the 25th of the month.
Most importantly, it is a time of introspection and inner reflection. To lighting the inner candle. A rededication to one's faith, to the rebuilding and consecrating of the (inner) Temple, rather than renouncing it. It is a time to behold the Light.
May this season be filled with hope, faith, light and love.
Chag sameach, 🙏💕
